Thomas Twining

1675-1741

Founder of Twinings, the world-class tea with more than 300 years of history and recognition from tea lovers in more than 115 countries worldwide

 

31-year-old Thomas started tea & coffee house business in 1706 A.D. under the name of TOM’S COFFEE HOUSE at Devereux Court, The Strand in London with tea as a unique selling point, distinguishing itself from others in the coffee house business popular at that time. At TOM’S COFFEE HOUSE , only top-class tea and coffee are served and sold to customers. Throughout 300 years to present, Twinings shop at 216, The Strand in London has been committing to serve customers with high-quality, finely-blended teas to preserve the splendor tastes of teas.

Daniel Twining

1713-1762
The one who brought (Twinings) to export And in 1749 A.D. Twinings was exported to America with Boston Governor among other clients.
 

Mary Little

1726-1804

After Daniel Twining passed away, his wife Mary Little succeeded him and (Twinings), under her management for more than 17 years, was in all its glory, making her one of women with greatest achievement in 18th Century.

Richard Twining

1749-1824
His successful encouragement in reduction of tea taxes in 1784 A.D. ingrains tea drinking culture in British society until now.
